Description
The effects of W-equivalent(Weq=W+2Mo) and Mo-ratio(2Mo/Weq) on the microstructure and bending strength of high-speed tool steel precision cast have been investigated. The CNS, carbide net spacing, of primary carbides became smaller with increase in Weq and 2Mo/Weq, which resulted in higher bending strength, and Weq was more effective to this. It is considered that CNS strongly affected the bending strength and the decrease in CNS was effective to improve the bending strength by constraining the plastic deformation of
