To control the preciseness of steel wire rods, the frequency of size measurement in hot rolling is important. In the ordinary detecting equipment, the distance between measurements is 27.5M for the wire rod of rolling speed 110 MPS because of the limit of rotation speed 120 RPM. To solve the above subjects, a detecting system was developed with improvements of: (1)Change of light source (2)Signal transfer method (3)Electric source supply This system has made the measurement distance of 2.75 M possible with the rotation speed of 600 RPM and double sets of sensors and carried into
