Description
In automobiles and electric appliance, many plastic parts are used. The most common process to produce these parts is injection molding. And one of the main problems for molding die designers is dealing with the troubles caused by air or gas when manufacturing parts. The trouble is due to less permeability of die materials.<br>PORCERAX II, a porous metal that has recently been developed, is a new die material which has fine communicating pores dispersed homogeneously with good permeability to air or gas. In addition, PORCERAX II is tempered to get appropriate hardness and good machinability, if necessary. Consequently, trouble-free parts can be easily made by using PORCERAX II, produced by P/M.
