Abstract

The 2/4 and 3/6 netting cords were made with 210D (×15 filaments) Amilan yarns of 50cm. long, and the tensile strength, the diameter and the shrinkage were measured in the case of various twist.<br> From the results (Figs. 1, 2 and 3), we know that (1) there is the maximum tensile strength in case the upper (N) and lower (n) twists are in balance, and this maximum value diminishes, but indistinctly, when the lower twist increases over 100, and that (2) the upper and lower twists in balance, follow the next formulae, <br> 2/4:N=245(1-0.630n/100) 3/6:N=215(1-0.620n/100).
