Abstract

巻貝に対する肉食性カニ類ソデカラッパの捕食圧が，小型海藻を模した人工海藻の存在によって軽減されるかどうかを飼育実験によって調べた。巻貝として，微細な生息環境が異なるオニツノガイ科の 2 種を用いた。小型海藻葉上に生息するヒメクワノミカニモリでは，人工海藻内に潜り込むことで被食が軽減された。転石帯に生息するカヤノミカニモリでは，人工海藻下の水槽底面上に隠れる行動を示したが，人工海藻に被食軽減効果は認められなかった。人工海藻の被食軽減効果は，2 種の巻貝の行動様式によって大きく異なることが明らかとなった。
