Abstract

Eggs artificially fertilized were hatched and reared in a coop kept on the pond or in a concrete pool. After two years' experiment the author came to the conclusion: -<br> (1) To keep the water temperature at 16 ?? 18°C, not under that, is necessary for the fry to grow in the pond. (2) Living organisms, such as phyto- and zooplankton and especially water-flea raised in the pool, are indispensable for rearing the fry as their food. After the fry have grown to some extent, the young fishes were fed with artificial food, such as fish-meal etc. and fair-sized, full-grown ones were obtained.
