説明
Australia produces a large amount of coal, which is exported mostly to eastern Asia. In Australia, coal is a major resource for the electricity generation. Therefore, Australia is one of the advanced countries that have been addressing the carbon dioxide (CO2) emission. Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) is one of the practical approaches to reduce the CO2 emission. Numerous studies for carbon capture by various technologies such as absorption, adsorption, cryogenic, and membrane separation have been investigated to be effective and economical technology in CCS process. Here, recent activities of CCS in Australia and membrane-based carbon capture for CCS are described.
