Description

The pathogenesis of nephritis was investigated in this paper, especially, by means of Autoradiograph. 3H-Thymidine, a precursor of DNA, was given rats, and Auto-radiograph was prepared in vivo. The proliferative change of kidney was pararell to numbers of labelled cellular component, because uptake of 3H-Thymidine was premise of mitosis. As the experimental parameter, three groups including Masugi Nephritis, heterologous serum nephritis and CCl4 induced nephropathy of rats were used. An attempt has been made to clarify time lag between histological findings and proliferative lesions recognized as "Labelling Index" on autoradiogram. The autoradiographic technic proves a very effective tool to detect proliferative changes of kidney, which was unable to be observed by conventional microscopic examination.
