Abstract
The morphology of snow crystals, snow crystal habit and the morphological instability of the crystals depend not only on temperature and supersaturation but also on the pressure of carrier gas and crystal size.<BR>The influence of the pressure of carrier gas on the morphology of snow crystals is most prominent when the crystal size is small. The temperature dependence of snow crystal habit which occurs at or below normal pressure disappears in high pressure gas.
