説明

A brief description is presented on the development of snow (ice) effect studies in radio wave engineering, especially the basic effects of snow and ice are reviewed in this paper with special attention to the advances in knowledge reported in the last ten years. The areas of interest abridged include.<BR>(i) Reflection by snow-covered terrain.<BR>(ii) Effects of snow and ice accretion to parabola antennas and reflecting, refracting plates, radomes.<BR>(iii) Propagational character of radio and optical waves through falling snow.
