  The effects of certain parameters on the characteristics of the organic polymer thin film formed on the surface of the thin-section spheroidal graphite cast iron, and corrosive resistance of the cast iron with this film formed on its surface were investigated with using 6-diisooctylamino-1, 3, 5-triazine-2, 4-dithiol monosodium salt (i-DON) by means of organic polymer plating. The cast iron was superficially modified by the organic polymer plating of i-DON. The surface of the modified cast iron showed good water repellent, which results from cross molecular orientation of the functional organic polymer film deposited on its surface. It was found that the methods and temperatures of organic polymer plating considerably affect structures of the organic polymer film and corrosive resistance of the treated cast iron. The cyclic voltammetry gave high corrosion resistance to the cast iron in piping water.
