抄録

First wall and blanket technologies are discussed and recent studies on them are reviewed. First wall and blanket are major components of a fusion reactor, which have their own important functions. The aim of their design is to find out the solutions which perform the required functions under constraints from other component design. This requires not only developments in various engineering fields but also the integration of knowledge. Further efforts are needed before we get a viable design of first wall and blanket for fusion power reactors.
