抄録

A turbo-blower for a papermachine usually has fairly extra capacity. In futatsuka Mill, the blower was operated with reduced suction pressure by narrowing the valve manually in normal operation.<BR>Reducing its rotation rate was studied, to minimize the power consumption. The suction pressure was controlled to be 95% and 90% of the normal operation by adjusting a manual valve respectively. The trial was carried out throughout a year without any troubles not only in operation but also in product quality. Then, the blower was modified in 1995.<BR>The power consumption is reduced from 1, 183 kW to 914 kW. The saving corresponds to the reduction of 30-40 kWh/ton paper.
