Abstract
A compound of poly (phenylene sulfide) resin and ceramic filler was applied to a micro strip antenna for GPS (global positioning system) useful for the car navigation system. A plate (30mm×30mm×4mm) of this plastic compound was prepared by injection molding. The dielectric constant (ε) and tan δ of this plate were 14 and 0.0006. The plate was found to be applicable to a micro strip antenna for GPS. However, the resonant frequency of this antenna changed in a hot moisture, and the resistance to moisture adsorption should be improved.
