Abstract

Dynamic viscoelastic properties were measured on the cured bismaleimide·triazine resins prepared from bis (4-maleimidophenyl) methane as a bismaleimide component and 2, 2-bis (cyanatophenyl) propane as a cyanate component. The compositions of the components were varied from 100/0 to 0/100 in weight percent. The glass transition temperature (Tg) increased with increasing amount of the bismaleimide component, from about 250 to about 340°C. Dependence of Tg on the amount of the bismaleimide component was remarkable especially at the bismaleimide content larger than 50 mol %.
