説明

Nylon 6 was fractionated into 14 fractions by successive precipitational method at 20°C by using phenol/tetrachloroethane (2/3, w/w) as solvent and n-heptane as precipitant. The fractionation run was repeated three times and 42 fractions were obtained. The number-average molecular weight Mn of fractions were determined in o-chlorophenol at 45°C by membrane osmometry and in phenol/methanol by end-group analysis. The following Mark-Houwink-Sakurada equation
[η] =3.32×10-2 Mv0.780
(6×102<Mv<1x105)
for nylon 6 was established in 96-% sulitric acid at 25°C. In eq 1, literature data are also utilized after correcting the polydispersity of the samples employed. The viscosity data are analyzed according to Stockmayer-Fixman, and Kamide et al. 's procedures and characteristic ratio C of 6.0 was obtained.
