Description
In this study we investigated the effect of roll drawing of poly(ε-caprolactone) (PCL)/chalcone blend film on fibroblast adhesion and toxicity of chalcone for the adhered fibroblast. The number of fibroblast on the roll drawn blend film increased with draw. The inhibitory concentration (IC50) for roll drawn PCL/chalcone blend film was about 2.5 times higher than that for undrawn films. Higher-order structures of the blend films were analyzed by wide-angle X-Ray diffraction and differential scanning calorimetry. The crystallinity and molecular orientation of the blend film increased with increasing the draw ratio, especially, the (200) plane oriented parallel to the film surface. The structural change by the roll draw was closely related with the cell adhesion and the IC50.<br>
