Description

Energy consumption of office buildings in Nagoya was examined during last several years from 1978 to 1984 and the results of its analyses are summarized in the present paper. The characteristics of building and its service equipment for governmental and public offices which have less energy consumption were statistically compared with that for ordinary offices and the structure of the difference in energy consumption between the two was analyzed. The correlations between the annual primary energy consumption per floor area and various characteristic values of the building as well as its service equipment are studied. It was found from the analyses that annual operating time of air conditioning facilities and the peculiar electric loads such as computers which are varied for each building had significant influence on energy consumption of office buildings.
