Description
The power consumption of air-conditioning systems in data centers needs to be decreased. Outdoor air-cooling systems are an effective solution for reducing the power consumption of air-conditioning systems. Various outdoor air-cooling systems are present and the power consumed by each system is studied. However, comparison of the amount of power consumed by each system is not fully performed. In this study, the reduction in the amount of power consumed by each system was compared through simulation. According to the simulation-based comparison results, the package-type air-conditioning unit with an expanded scope of low-pressure ratio control has the lowest power consumption per year.
