Description

In previous papers, a method for applying cold water discharged as the cooling water of a refrigerator was proposed. Furthermore, on the basis of the partial load characteristics of present refrigerators, the parallel operation of the proposed system with the discharging operation of the heat storage tank was proposed. From the calculation of these systems, it was shown that the growth of the total electric energy consumption was limited to less than 5%, although the electric power consumption during the day was greatly reduced. In this paper, the proposed system was assumed to apply to an air cooled refrigerator system with a heat storage tank to reduce the growth of the total electric energy consumption. The calculated results showed that the total electric energy consumption was limited to less than 1%, and the electric power consumption during the day was reduced efficiently. Furthermore, after expanding this application system to a heat storage system with a large temperature difference, the effects of the electric power consumption during the day and the total electric energy consumption were considered.
