Abstract
The experiments to study the vertical distribution of the pollutant concentration emitted from human bodies were conducted by means of scaled room with floor supply air-conditioning system. It was turned out that the semi-displacement ventilation flow is made in the room when the maximum throw of the supply jet is longer than the contaminant interface of displacement ventilation. Referring to the result of the experiments, simple zonal models for displacement flow and semi-displacement flow were constructed. In order to examine the validity of this prediction model, additional experiments under various supply conditions were conducted. The comparison between measured concentration and calculated concentraion lead to the proof of the validity of these prediction models for the practical design based on IAQ for occupants.
