Abstract
Xonotlite was treated with some resins for purpose of improving the workability of roll mixing with PVC. The workability was estimated by means of plasticoder and test roll.<br>A good result was produced when xonotlite was treated with resin emulsion of poly vinyl-acetate or poly vinyl-chloride so on. And in this case, the proper quantity for treatment was about 5 weight percent of resin to xonotlite.<br>The mechanical properties such as tensile strength, Young′s modulus and impact strength were measured on PVC filled xonotlite treated with poly vinyl-acetate-or poly vinyl-chloride emulsion. Consequently, tensile strength and Young′s modulus improved and impact strength decreased slightly.
