抄録

To determine the relation between activities of physical adsorption of fillers and their reinforcing effects on rubber, butadiene, 1-butene, isobutene, isoprene, n-pentane, benzene, styrene, ethylbenzene, and toluene were adsorbed under gaseous states on such fillers as six sorts of carbonblacks, fivesorts of hydrated silicas, magnesium carbonate and six sorts of calcium carbonates.<br>The adsorption quantity A was found to be indicated by following equation; A=Kρσ, in which ρ and σ signified activity of filler and that of gas respectively. K is gas-filler interaction constant for aromatic series. It is not the same, but depend upon the properties of fillers. The K values of carbonblack, silica, and calcium carbonate were respectively indicated about 3.0, 1.9, and 0.5 at a series of aromatic hydrocarbon, when 1.0 was used in aliphatic hydrocarbon. Some considerations were made in conection with reinforcing effects of fillers for rubber.
