説明

Simulations on the detective quantum efficiency (DQE) of black-and-white negative film are achieved by using two mathematical models. The mathematical models which used in this study express the photographic characteristic curve, and the relationship between density and corresponding root-meansquare granularity.<BR>In spite of simple models, this study showed approximately identical results for studies by Shaw who used theoretical models based on the Poisson statistics. Calculating DQE by using the mathematical models is considered to be valuable in practice.
