Description
The elucidation of bulk and interfacial electronic structures of organic materials is indispensable for understanding and improving organic electronic devices. In this paper, the basic concept of the electronic structure of organic materials to build up energy diagram is described at first. Then, research examples mainly by photoemission spectroscopy and Kelvin probe method on the electronic structure of organic solar cells are introduced. Finally, recent research advances on electronic structure such as the detection of gap states are reported.<br>
