Description

We measured physical properties (digital characteristic curve, presampling MTF and digital Wiener spectrum) of indirect-detection flat-panel detector set up on Department of Radiology in Osaka University Hospital and compared them with those of the HR series (for mammography) and ST series (for general) imaging plates (IPs) of Computed Radiology system (CR) and were discussed. The digital characteristic curve were similar wide dynamic range as well as the IP of CR system. The calculated presampling MTF from profile curves of the slit image were similar sharpness as well as the MTF of HR series IP of CR system. The digital Wiener spectra pointed between Wiener spectra of HR series and ST series IPs of CR system. Therefore the indirect-detection flat-panel detector were useful in diagnosis.
