抄録

Recent color negative films show a significant γ difference between gray scale and color reproductions. The γ values of red, green and blue sensitive layer of the films individually increased as the color saturation of the photographic objects are increased by the inter-image effect. This kind of γ difference causes differences of exposure latitude among the color sensitive layers of the films.<BR>As the exposure latitude provides a useful basis for photographic film speed determination, the differences of exposure latitude among the color layers are considered to be a significant factor for practical use of color negative film.<BR>In this paper, we investigate the above stated exposure latitude difference in one of the recent color negative films by means of colorimetrical procedure and subjective evaluation of final color print qualities obtained with the film<BR>It has been found that the subjectively accepted exposure latitude of the film can be predicted in terms of the shift of significant colors.
