Abstract

Recent color negative films intended to introduce higher inter-image effects can satisfy the concept of ISO speed only in the case of gray-to-gray reproduction. By means of colorimetrical analysis, it was found that, in the case of color reproduction, the exposure latitude of the recent color negative films is rather narrower than that of considered in the gray-to-gray reproduction.<BR>In this paper, a new aspect of photographic speed determination of color negative film is proposed.
