Description
In order to determine the manufacturing process of one-piece watch dial with indexes and feet, forging tests are carried out by using superplastic Zn-21.5% Al-0.5% Cu-0.01%Mg(SPZ). SPZ thin sheet in the thickness range of 0.3〜0.5 mm is cold-rolled after solution treatment. In superplastic forging under the punch speed of 1.7x10^<-3>〜1.7x10^<-1>mm・s^<-1>at 823K, the following kinds of method, (1) forging at constant punch speed and (2) forging at constant load followed by a constant punch speed are applied. As the experimental results, it can be conclude that the index formability and foot height is dependent on punch speed and holding time in both methods, and that method (2) shows the less dependence of grain-size and punch speed on formability compared with method (1). In a wide variety size of one-piece watch dial, simultaneous filling-up of indexes and feet is achieved by using the calculation diagram.
