Description
The Change of the vibration period of the glass tube for density sensor due to temperature variation can be attributed mainly to two factors;one is the change of the dimension and elastic property of the tube material and the othcr the change of liquid in it. The effect of the two factors can be described by the following formula; γ=1/2KT^2_x{ρ_xβ-K(T^2_x-T^2_a)αk}+T^2_a/T^2_xα where, γ : temperature coefficient of vibration period of the glass tube liquied with liquid K : apparatus constant p_xβ : density change of the liquid per unit temperature change T_x ; : vibration period of the glass tube contained with the liquid T_a : vibration period of the empty glass tube α : temperature coefficient of vibration period αK : temperature coefficient of K The experimental results show the validity of the formula which is useful for designing a temperature or density sensor using a glass vibrator and for evaluating its performance.
