抄録

Rapid advances in the field IC, displays, misromotrs, etc. have provided reduction in size and power consumption of portable electronic equipments. This necessitates power sources to be smaller in size and larger in capacity. For this reason, hybrid power source systems consisting of solar cells and sealed silver oxide-zinc cells have received wide attention. From these viewpoints, this paper describes the method of charging sealed silver oxide-zinc cells and the charging systems by solar cells. Asan application of such systems, RIQUARTZ 810 that RICOH Watch Co., Ltd has recently developed to realize a thin and long life watch, is also explained.
