Description

Recently, the development schedule for new products has been reduced, and it has become necessary to determine design parameters by analysis techniques as much as possible without performing experiments. Until now, especially in the case of motors, evaluation by experiment was more principal than that by analysis, and experiments were repeated until the required functions of a motor were obtained. However, by making a magnetic field analysis of a motor, the magnetic characteristics can be directly understood, and reduction of time needed for development can be expected, because design and development using highly accurate parameters will be possible.Accordingly, two and three dimensional magneto-static analyses were made, because their validity was confirmed as a result of examining the applied methods including cogging torque analysis, analysis of static equilibrium placement and magnetic flux leakage analysis.
