Abstract

<p>The spectral range and energy dispersion of plasmons markedly vary as the dimensionality, size, and shape of the matter change. For the cases of metallic nanomaterials, this effect manifests themselves in a clearer manner as the geometrical parameters of the nanomaterials downsize into the atomic scale, or into the length scale of their Fermi wavelength or screening length. Here, we report on our recent experiments clarifying the effect of the change in dimensionality on the behavior of plasmons in the“energy-momentum space”in nanosized metallic materials.</p>
