Abstract
<p>Radiation imaging provides useful information about the inside of an object by using highly penetrating radiation and it is widely applied in many areas. Recent developments in semiconductor technologies contribute to precise radiation imaging, in particular, photon counting-type radiation detectors. This review article begins with the general characteristics and working principles of radiation imaging and then provides an overview of semiconductor technologies currently used in this area. Finally, future trends are discussed in this article.</p>
