抄録

<p>The neat vegetable oil is expected as an alternative fuel for Diesel engine. However, it has some problems when the oil applies for the engine. One of the problem is contamination in cylinder. Namely, it accumulates combustion chamber including piston rings. The engine fueled with neat vegetable oil will have fatal trouble finally, because of deteriorating combustion and stuck of piston rings by contamination. The engine demand cleaning in cylinder before some troubles, so called the overhaul which is taken the engine to pieces, repair parts and assemble again. This research proposes incylinder cleaning by water emulsified fuel operation without an overhaul. It is confirmed that the effect of contamination removal with water emulsified fuel by three kind methods. Namely, behavior of CO concentration in exhaust gas, indicator diagram and direct observation in cylinder. The effective operating time with water emulsified fuel is 10minutes for the contamination removal.</p>
