Description
In order to find out the way to apply Compressed Elastic Japanese Cedar to the parts of the cabinet, we made frames and pedestals from it. A vibration test was conducted upon a cabinet in which those frames were installed. By the test, damping effect was confirmed. Moreover, regarding pedestals, damping effect was also confirmed by a vertical vibration test and vibration reduction was confirmed by a vibration test as well. As a result of the experiment, it was shown that the frames and pedestals made by Compressed Elastic Japanese Cedar could reduce the risk of collapse of the furniture.
