<p>Decorating the surface of an object adds value by enhancing the luxury feel and appeal of the original object. The hot stamping technique is a dry decoration method capable of realizing a wide range of metallic designs. This method is used in the decoration of many products such as paper packages and cosmetic containers, among others. This article focuses on the metallic hot stamping technique. First, we describe the hot stamping method and hot stamping foils. Then, various hot stamping techniques including those for the decoration of automobiles using three-dimensional shapes are described; the use of these shapes is expected to expand in the following years.</p>
