Abstract

Organizations have a variety of names listed in literature databases. Due to this, it is difficult to know the ordinary name of each organization. This paper is a study on how to convert organization names form those names used in databases to ordinary ones. The success rate for making change to a sample size of 170,000 was approximately 79%. The reason for the low conversion success rate was determined to be word order. It is argued that countermeasures are needed to help solve this issue.
