- A Case Study of Japanese Small and Medium‑Sized Manufacturers

Abstract
<p>This paper aims to evaluate the global strategies on production bases that were undertaken by small and medium-sized manufacturers in Japan during the period from 2011 to 2014. After reviewing dynamic capacities (DC) studies, the paper proposes an empirical model to analyze relations between business environment dynamism, location strategy, absorptive capacity (AC), ordinary capabilities (OC), new DC acquisition and business performance. The result of the analysis indicates that new DC building process is more important than current OC strengthening process.</p>
