Abstract

By diverting commercially available rolling bearings to traction drive, by utilizing the features of low cost, low vibration and low noise, the gear ratio can be arbitrarily set by rotating the outer ring, it is a compact stepless transmission make a suggestion.The rolling bearing was diverted to the traction drive, but since the preload was given by using oversized rolling elements, no special load device was required.Confirmation of the speed ratio by unidirectional rotation was confirmed by the test by the prototype machine and it was confirmed that the transmission gear ratio was gotten.
