Abstract

Environment and culture in Monsoon Asia are discussed from the view point of climatology. Fiestly, changes of monsoon climate concept from the global monsoon climatology have reviewed. Then the peculiar characteristics of the Monsoon Asian climate is stressed. Role of paddy fields on monsoon climate and recent changes of monsoonal flood and rice cultivation in South Asia are also discussed.
