Abstract

Bilinear approximation used in the derivation of the memory function of mode-coupling theory (MCT)is reviewed and reconsidered by means of an operator identity . Within two-body approximation, a correction partis derived from usually neglected part from the fluctuating force of MCT. Finally, a modified MCT equation,which is able to adjust the glass transition temperature to more accurate point than that of ordinary MCT, is derivedon several assumptions.
