Abstract
<p>In order to improve the interpretability of fuzzy co-cluster structures, some modified models have been proposed for introducing exclusive feature not only into object partition but also into item partition. This paper proposed a novel modification of multinomial mixture models (MMMs)-induced fuzzy co-clustering, where Ruspini's condition is forced to both object and item partitions. Through numerical experiment with artificial data and application to document analysis, the characteristics of the proposed method are compared with the conventional model, which achieved exclusive partition of items by introducing a penalty term. </p>
