Abstract

Legrandite (Zn2AsO4(OH)H2O) and paradamite, adamite (Zn2AsO4(OH)), are zinc arsenate minerals. We performed the structure refinement of legrandite, paradamite and adamite Oujela Mine, Mapimi, Durango, Mexico, by (RAPID) RIGAKU single-crystal structure analysis system. We determined the hydrogen position by difference Fourier method. We revealed the detail hydrogen bonding using bond valence calculation and hydrogen positions and compared crystal structures of these. In adamite, there are weak hydrogen bonds in the same polyhedrons.By contrast, there are standard hydrogen bonds in paradamite. In the structure of legrandite, there are various type hydrogen bonds. In consequently, the structure of legrandite is very complicated.
