Description
The 19th and early 20th century studies of reliable mediums have accumulated apparently compelling pieces of evidence for the survival of human consciousness after bodily death. This interpretation (the Survival Hypothesis), however, has been challenged by an alternative interpretation of the phenomena: The mediums collected the relevant information of the deceased telepathically from living people knowing the deceased, or clairvoyantly from available records or documents pertaining to the person (the Super-Psi Hypothesis). This presentation reviews representative arguments for both hypotheses and shows that cases of children with past-life memories (CORTs) and the new line of mediumship research have provided strong pieces of evidence for the Survival Hypothesis.
