<p>Pigments used as raw materials for inks and paints are typically in an aggregated state induced by drying processes used in their production. Aggregated pigments are disintegrated to the intended particle size and dispersed in the vehicle. In the manufacture of inks and paints, the process of pigment dispersion is critical. There are various kinds of dispersion machines used in the process. Among them, a wet bead mill is one of those with the highest efficiency.</p><p>In this report, the characteristics of wet bead mills and the method for highly efficient dispersion using a wet bead mill is explained.</p>
