Abstract

<p>We study the Kondo effect in nuclear matter or in quark matter, where a heavy hadron or a heavy quark is embedded as an impurity particle at low temperature. We show that the effective coupling constants become enhanced at low energy scale (the Kondo scale), and present that the Kondo effect induces interesting non-perturbative phenomena.</p>
