Abstract
<p>A wind turbine blade with a Magatama-type section is examined. This blade specialize exclusively for vertical axis wind turbine. In this report, Lift that a Magatama-type section blade produced of ideal fluid is experimentally investigated using Hele-Shaw cell. At first, by this experiment, Pressure distribution from the flow around a Zhukovsky blade is calculated. This is compared with the theoretical pressure distribution. Pressure distributions around a Magatama-type section and the NACA0018 blades are experimentally examined from Hele-Shaw cell. From there pressure distributions, Lift is calculated. Using this technique, a new Magatama-type section to produce higher lift is examined. The lift of this a new Magatama-type section blade was increased than that of before.</p>
