<p>Recently the promotion of tourism is active in Japan. A time-series analysis based on statistical data is very important in order to suggest efficient tourism policies. This study focuses on the number of tourists in approximately 230 sightseeing areas and analyzes the time-series data from 1985 to 2004. In the study, the relation between the type of sightseeing area and the trend of tourism is illustrated.</p>
