Abstract

<p>The aim of this study is to uncover how original furniture was developed in local enterprises through research at Futaba Furniture in Kyoto.</p><p>For original furniture development in the Futaba Furniture, there were two turning points in the 1960s and 80s. I will consider, the second change, in the 1980s, how Futaba Furniture was trying to develop original furniture, through to the field survey and hearing to the designers and woodworkers of that time .</p>
